Do shampoo bars dry out your hair?

Are you looking at changing to a sulphate free shampoo bar to protect the environment and better nourish your hair?

If you're worried about whether a shampoo bar might dry out your hair, read on for more...

Many people think that a shampoo bar might dry out your hair, as shampoo bars are waterless.

They’re also a more concentrated, solid version of liquid shampoo, which can often be made of 95% water!

Solid shampoo bars are made from only the active ingredients that are beneficial to your hair’s health, without the water.

Nut and Noggin’s sulphate free shampoo bars use plant derived ingredients such as coconut and flaxseed to keep your hair shiny, healthy and moisturised.

What are sulphates?

By taking out sulphates, you are reducing the chance of having natural oils stripped from your hair. Sulphates contain cleansing properties that lather, but they can also irritate the ph balance in your scalp and cause hair to become dry and brittle.

Sulphate free haircare products such as some premium shampoo bars have an ultra mild, ph balanced formula that’s gentle on your hair and scalp.

Look out for shampoo bars with a moisture rich formula that uses plant oils to nourish your hair for shine and less tangles.

In replacement of sulphates, Nut and Noggin uses organic English flaxseed oil to nourish and condition the hair and scalp. We also formulated our shampoo bars to give your hair shine and radiance from English artisan brewed beer, which adds amino acids (your hair’s building blocks!)

With vegan, cruelty free ingredients and recyclable packaging, Nut and Noggin’s bars are zero plastic. Lastly, it hydrates, with cold processed ingredients giving you manageable, soft and shiny hair without waxy residue.

“I love this shampoo and it smells divine. It lathers well and rinses easily. Totally converted and happy to be using less plastic too.” Clare

A good, sulfate free shampoo bar will actually help to re-hydrate your hair and keep it healthy for a prolonged period of time, avoiding dry brittle ends and helping you to create a thicker, fuller head of hair.
